With world-class performances and mindful living experiences, the golden-hour celebration brings music, nature, and connection back to the Mother City. Joburg comes alive with unforgettable performances from Major League DJz, Jeremy Loops, DBN Gogo, 340ML, Zakes Bantwini, and more for a sold-out crowd, as Corona celebrates 100 years under the sun.
Following the golden-hour magic of the Corona Sunsets Festival Johannesburg this past weekend, the iconic global festival series will return to Clifton, Cape Town, on Saturday, 21 March 2026. A highlight on South Africa’s cultural calendar, the festival will once again deliver a breathtaking celebration of music, nature, and connection – all set against the spectacular backdrop of the Mother City’s coastline.

At the Johannesburg festival, the More Than Music Pavilion showcased inspiring voices in mindfulness and creativity, featuring yoga and meditation guide Dr. Anesu Mbizvo, mantra and movement facilitator Mandla Enoch (the African Dragonfly), and sustainability changemakers who brought the festival’s “Protect Our Sunset” initiative to life – setting the tone for the mindful experiences audiences can expect in Cape Town next year.

The sold-out Johannesburg edition, held at Casalinga in Muldersdrift, drew 12,000 festivalgoers and showcased the festival’s signature fusion of world-class music and natural beauty. Performances by Major League DJz, DBN Gogo, Jeremy Loops, and Afro-rock icons 340ML electrified the crowd. At the same time, Zakes Bantwini, DJ Kent, FKA Mash, Oscar Mbo, and the Ndlovu Youth Choir delivered unforgettable sets that celebrated the strength and diversity of South Africa’s music scene.

True to its promise of being more than just a festival, Johannesburg’s event featured Daniel Popper’s monumental art installation, a Corona-branded hot air balloon, aerial performers soaring above the crowds, and interactive More Than Music experiences like drum circles, wellness sessions, and sustainable food gardens – all culminating in the iconic Sunset Moment, with a moving performance of When the Sun Goes Down by the Ndlovu Youth Choir.

For the first time, the Corona Sunsets Festival experience was brought to millions of South Africans nationwide through an exclusive partnership with the SABC, which broadcast the event live across SABC 1, S3, and SABC Plus. The partnership not only extended the magic of the festival beyond Casalinga but also highlighted the SABC’s ongoing role in shaping and celebrating South African culture.
