Sony Music Africa Signs Ms. Gideon as their First Ever Namibian Artist.

Sony Music Africa is proud to announce the signing of Ms Gideon (born Panduleni Gideon) through a partnership with ERA Music Group. This marks a historic moment as she becomes the first recording artist from Namibia to join the Sony Global Music Company’s roster. At only 20 years old, the soulful singer‑songwriter from Windhoek represents one of Southern Africa’s most promising new voices and a rising force in contemporary African music.
Born in 2005, Ms. Gideon discovered her voice in school choirs and began sharing covers online, where her natural talent captured early attention. She entered the continental spotlight in 2024 after winning the Next Narrative Africa talent competition, a milestone that led to a landmark performance on the legendary stage of the Apollo Theatre in New York, sharing the bill with celebrated African artists such as Adekunle Gold and Patoranking.
