On June 15th, 2025, Jägermeister’s much-anticipated Haus of Kühl touched down in Johannesburg, delivering a sensory experience unlike anything South African nightlife has seen. Hosted at the iconic 1 Fox Studio, the event was the first in a three-city cultural takeover, with Durban and Cape Town to follow. As Yanos Plug, we were honoured to attend with full access and accreditation, witnessing firsthand how Jägermeister redefined what it means to throw a party with purpose, precision, and pride.
What unfolded was far more than just a night of music. It was a statement. A celebration. A movement.
A Night That Redefined Urban Culture
From the moment we stepped into the iconic 1 Fox Studio, it was clear that Haus of Kühl was more than just a concert; it was a cultural revolution. The venue was transformed into a multi-layered universe of sound and style, with three distinct floors, each offering a different experience. The setup was breathtaking, an explosion of Kühl branding, neon lights, and immersive design that paid homage to street culture, high fashion, and South Africa’s vibrant music scene.
One floor was dedicated to the legendary Jägermeister experience, with branded zones that celebrated the spirit’s bold heritage. Adjacent was the Orange Dance Stage, branded with the iconic Jäger Orange, pulsating with energy from some of the continent’s most unapologetic electronic and amapiano selectors. The highlight of the night was the main stage area, where the best of South Africa’s rising stars and household names delivered jaw-dropping performances.
Adding to the experience were arcades, a curated Meister Market pop-up shop with exclusive apparel from brands like Thesis Lifestyle, Boys of Soweto, and Kombonation, and of course, the legendary Silent Disco that kept guests dancing until dawn with multiple genre-crossing sets.
