Music icon and pioneering producer Oskido has officially announced the return of Oskido Big Day Out 2026, locking in a star-studded Phase One lineup that bridges the golden era of Kwaito and classic House with the modern heartbeat of Mzansi music culture.
Returning to Huddle Park in Linksfield, Johannesburg on Saturday, 28 November 2026, the festival is bringing together music lovers across multiple generations for a full day of nostalgia, world-class performances, and authentic groove.
A Historic Reunion: Liquideep, B.O.P, and MDU Lead the Bill
Leading the first wave of artist announcements is an exceptional roster of South African music trailblazers. Soulful House powerhouse Liquideep and Kwaito godfather MDU will take center stage, alongside the legendary outfit B.O.P (Brothers of Peace), the formidable duo made up of Bruce ‘Dope’ Sebitlo and Oskido himself.
From iconic township street bashes and 90s nightclub culture to Sunday braais, road trips, and modern festival stages, the catalogs of these artists have soundtracked decades of South African life. Seeing them share the stage in Johannesburg represents a rare celebration of the architects who laid the foundations for the global dance movement we witness today.
Curator and legendary music executive Oskido reflected on the deeper cultural purpose behind the festival:
