Hosted by the multi-talented Bontle Modiselle, the Red Bull Mzansi Crew Battle celebrated the essence of South Africa’s rich dance heritage. From the rhythms of Amapiano and the sharp precision of Spantsula to the fluidity of Sbujwa, the event was full of artistry and energy. The competition brought together eight crews from across the country, showcasing the raw talent and creativity that define Mzansi’s dance scene.

THE ULTIMATE DANCE OFF (THE BATTLE BREAK DOWN)

Eight crews from across the country brought their A-game, competing in three intense rounds judged by the talented panel of Sibusiso Mthembu, Sne Mbatha, and Hope Ramafalo.

• In the first round, Mbonise (Show Them Your Dance Style), each crew member introduced themselves with choreographed routines that reflected their unique identity and skills.
• The second round brought the heat with the Battle Round, where crews went head-to-head, dancing to the best local beats spun by DJ Kgotso. The energy was unmatched as crews used every ounce of creativity and skill to outshine their opponents.
• The third and final round added a nail-biting twist, losing a round meant losing half your crew. The stakes couldn’t have been higher, and every move counted as teams fought to stay in the game.

Untouchable Entertainment wowed in every round, blending creativity, precision, and passion. The crew said after winning the Red Bull Mzansi Crew Battle, “When we heard about the competition, we were so excited to be selected. We trained every single day for a month to make sure we were in sync. At first, we were nervous, but the energy from the audience gave us the confidence to go all out. By the final round, we knew Urban Pantsula was the crowd’s favourite, but we left our hearts on the dance floor, and it paid off. This win is not just for us, it’s for our parents and everyone who has supported us. It’s proof that following your passion is worth it.”
