She believes the playlist reflects both historical and contemporary excellence in the genre, showcasing its continuous growth. Uncle Waffles’ debut EP, “Red Dragon” (2022), successfully captured her live performance energy in recorded form. The EP’s lead single, “Tanzania,” achieved quadruple platinum status in South Africa. Her first album, “Asylum” (2023), incorporated hip-hop into her piano repertoire, enhancing her versatility. Her latest single, “Echoes” (2023), available on Apple Music, is a soulful piano piece touching on lost love, featuring vocalists Manana and Lusanda.

In celebration of her feature, Uncle Waffles curated an exclusive Isgubhu playlist showcasing the finest dance music from prominent Mzansi artists.
